Terms of service

SharePal is published by Illumineering SAS, a company registered in France. By downloading or using the app you accept these terms, so please read them before you start.

Your licence

The app is licensed to you, not sold. Your licence is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies in full. The terms on this page are supplementary: where the two conflict, Apple’s agreement prevails.

Under that licence you may install and use SharePal on any Apple device you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use.

The app, its name, its design and all associated trademarks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property remain ours. You may not sell, rent or redistribute the app, remove its notices, or pass it off as your own. You may not attempt to extract its source code or create derivative versions, except where the law gives you that right — in the European Union, nothing here restricts the acts of observation, study and decompilation permitted by Articles 5 and 6 of Directive 2009/24/EC.

Your content

Everything you save in SharePal — links, snippets, codes, account details — is yours. It is stored on your device and in your own iCloud, and we never receive it, so we can neither read it nor recover it for you. See our Privacy policy.

Because SharePal is designed to hold things like an IBAN or a door code, two things follow. Keep your device locked, since anyone holding an unlocked phone can use the keyboard to paste what you saved. And keep iCloud backup on if losing an item would be a problem, because we hold no copy to restore from.

You are responsible for what you save and who you send it to, and for having the right to hold and share it.

Buying the app

SharePal is a paid app. You buy it once on the App Store and there is no subscription, no in-app purchase and nothing further to pay. Current prices are shown on the App Store before you confirm, in your local currency, and may change over time.

The purchase is made through the App Store and sold by Apple, not by us. Your receipt, your billing and any refund are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. To request a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com. Your purchase is tied to your Apple Account and can be redownloaded at no extra cost on any device signed in to it, including through Family Sharing where enabled.

Your device, your connection

SharePal works offline. Some features — iCloud sync, redownloading the app — need an internet connection, over Wi-Fi or your mobile network. We cannot be responsible for the app working at less than full functionality when you have no connection.

Outside Wi-Fi, your agreement with your mobile provider still applies, and you may be charged for data, including roaming charges abroad. If you are not the bill payer for the device, we assume you have the bill payer’s permission.

Keeping your device secure is your responsibility. We recommend against jailbreaking, which can expose your device to malicious software and may stop the app working properly or at all.

Availability, updates and termination

SharePal is available on iOS. System requirements may change as we update it, and you may need to install those updates to keep using it. We do not promise to keep updating the app indefinitely or to keep it compatible with every iOS version you may be running.

We may stop providing or supporting the app. If we do, your licence ends and you should stop using it. Anything you paid for remains subject to Apple’s refund policy.

Our responsibility to you

We work to keep the app correct and reliable, but it is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it, including anything that follows from a saved item being out of date or pasted into the wrong place.

Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract. If you are a consumer in France, that includes the legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L217-3 and following of the Code de la consommation) and the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 and following of the Code civil). If you are a consumer elsewhere in the EEA or the UK, the mandatory protections of your country of residence apply.

Services used by the app

These providers have their own terms, which apply to their part of the service.

How we handle data is set out in our Privacy policy.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.

If you have a complaint, contact us first through our support page — most things are settled that way. Anything to do with a payment, a receipt or a refund is handled by Apple as the seller, through reportaproblem.apple.com. If a dispute cannot be settled between us and you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time and will post the new version on this page, with the date below.

These terms are effective as of August 14, 2026.
